Job Description

Harden is currently looking for a lawyer. The candidate will join a young and dynamic environment.

Location : Vaudreuil-Dorion
Status : Full time (40 hrs per week)

Duties and responsibilities

  • Draft, review and negotiate legal documents related to real estate law, such as leases, lease amendments, lease extensions and/or renewals, rental offers, purchase offers, letters of intent, various development agreements, etc.
  • Prepare legal analyses and legal opinions on various real estate law matters.
  • Conduct title searches.
  • Draft and send formal notices
  • Perform computerized searches, particularly on the Land Registry, Infolot, the Quebec Business Registry, Corporations Canada, etc.
  • Perform all other related tasks.

Qualifications

  • Member of the Barreau du Québec
  • Bilingual French / English, both spoken and written
  • Minimum of 4 to 6 years of experience in real estate law
  • Ability to manage multiple files simultaneously while meeting deadlines with rigor
  • Sense of initiative, organization, resourcefulness, attention to detail and autonomy
  • Team spirit
  • Intellectual curiosity

Our organization operates in Quebec and Ontario. As outlined in the job description, it involves, among other things, communicating, both orally and in writing, with business partners and clients located in Quebec and Ontario. Following an analysis, we have determined that the tasks associated with this role require knowledge of English in addition to French (both spoken and written).

However, Groupe Harden minimizes the number of positions for which knowledge of a language other than French is required and only demands proficiency in English when it is necessary for the execution of an employee's tasks.
