Job Description

Harden is currently looking for a Analyst Collections & Account Receivables. The candidate will join a young and dynamic environment.

Head office: Vaudreuil

Position: Full time

Duties and responsibilities

  • Receiving cheques, coding them, and entering them into the cheque register;
  • Supporting the Accounting clerks with the allocation of payments received;
  • Following up with tenants to obtain a new series of cheques, when required;
  • Collecting outstanding rent and sending monthly statements of account;
  • Completing a high volume of follow-ups by phone and email;
  • Identifying the cause of unpaid invoices, documenting the reasons, and forwarding the information to the Lease Administrator when necessary;
  • Promptly flagging and escalating any at-risk or defaulting tenant;
  • Accurately and thoroughly documenting all interactions, payment commitments, and agreements in the systems (Yardi, Collector’s Workstation and Asana);
  • Coding tenants by status to facilitate analysis;
  • Maintaining positive relationships with tenants through regular and proactive follow-ups;
  • Updating contact information;
  • Providing enrollment forms for authorized payment programs and supplying cheque specimens, as needed;
  • Meeting collection targets and other performance indicators;
  • Sending recharge invoices to tenants;
  • Issuing annual Rental Notices and performing payment adjustment follow-ups;
  • Sending year-end reconciliations (13th invoices) and following up on payments;
  • Performing monthly follow-ups on sales reports and billing percentage rent, when applicable;
  • Providing support to the lease administration and accounting teams;
  • Performing any other related tasks.

Qualifications

  • College diploma in Accounting (DEC);
  • Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail;
  • Strong analytical skills;
  • Proactive, dynamic, and a team player;
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills;
  • Fluency in French and English, both spoken and written (required);
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook and Excel;
  • Knowledge of Yardi Voyager and Asana (an asset);
  • 3–5 years of experience in a similar role.
