Official Opening of IGA Extra at Faubourg Contrecœur: A Key Milestone for the Project

Montreal, Quebec, August 13, 2026 — Harden and Crombie are pleased to mark the official opening of the new IGA Extra supermarket at Faubourg Contrecœur, located at 3553 de Contrecœur Street in Montreal, at the corner of Sherbrooke Street East and de Contrecœur Street.

As the complex’s anchor tenant, IGA Extra spans approximately 40,020 sq. ft. and serves as the cornerstone of this neighbourhood retail destination. This opening marks an important milestone for Faubourg Contrecœur, whose retail offering is now fully leased, reinforcing the strength of the project and its ability to meet the needs of the surrounding community.

Faubourg Contrecœur is entering its final phase of development, with construction progressing across the site. Once completed, the project will offer a diverse retail environment focused on essential everyday services while supporting the continued growth of Mercier–Hochelaga-Maisonneuve.
