Construction Assistant

Harden is currently looking for a Construction Assistant. The candidate will join a young and dynamic environment.

Location : Vaudreuil-Dorion
Status : Full time (40 hrs per week)

Duties and responsibilities

  • Enter and update construction budgets in internal systems;
  • Process supplier invoices, validate their compliance with purchase orders, and ensure their integration into the billing process;
  • Create and track purchase orders (P.O.);
  • Participate in the tendering process, price requests, and administrative follow-up of bids;
  • Handle the administrative management of construction site openings and closings with the CNESST and the CCQ;
  • Prepare, update, and maintain mandatory project documentation (health and safety binders, Revenu Québec attestations, prevention programs, site insurance, etc.);
  • Submit requests, follow up, validate, send reminders, and file project documentation (contracts, specifications, shop drawings, inspection reports, warranties, authorizations, invoices, etc.);
  • Develop, organize, and maintain the digital and physical filing system for project files (SharePoint and project management platform);
  • Update the various project tracking tables (purchase orders, shop drawings, subcontractor compliance, tenders, schedules, and administrative follow-ups);
  • Assist management, project managers, and coordinators with their daily administrative tasks;
  • Conduct research and gather information required for construction projects;
  • Follow up on callbacks, information requests, and various administrative inquiries;
  • Perform all other related tasks.

Qualifications

  • Experience in the construction industry;
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role;
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, able to work effectively in a team and adapt to unexpected changes;
  • Ability to execute tasks efficiently while maintaining high-quality work;
  • Accuracy and diligence in project documentation and administrative follow-up;
  • Good knowledge of MS Office;
  • High attention to detail;
  • Fluency in both French and English, spoken and written, is required.
